Why Chili Oil Is Better Than Hot Sauce
It's a delicious condiment that is addictive, and not only for Asian cuisine. Chili oil can be used in eggs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, and any other dish that needs some spice.
A good hot paste is something I love. It can bring life to otherwise dull dishes. I sympathize with those who carry tabasco everywhere or insist that Sriracha is the best. There are better ways to spice up food. It wouldn't be sauce if I had to choose an all-purpose condiment that can spice up any dish. It would be chili olive.

For chili oil to be truly aromatic, it must be infused with dried ingredients. This gives the oil its spice and aromas without harsh preservatives.
Chili oil is a natural ingredient in many cuisines that are known for their use of spices and contrastive tastes. Although chili oil is used in many Asian cuisines, it is most prevalent in Sichuan cuisine. It does not compete with rice wine or soy sauce but simply adds an accent to the top.
