Various Tips for Teaching Swim to Babies
For many parents put their baby in the water for the first time can be an exciting experience, but scary. As formidable as possible, it is extremely important for a child to be comfortable with the water so they can safely enjoy for years to come. Following a few simple tips can make it less stressful and more enjoyable experience for all parents and babies.
Before bringing a baby in a swimming pool, it is a good idea to get them used to the water in a familiar, like their bath. One of the most important things is to present the feeling of having water on their face. Start by taking a sponge and water dripping gently on the baby's face to give them a chance to get used to how it feels.

When the baby is ready to make the transition to the pool, the transition can be facilitated by bringing along recognizable elements. Try first to let them dabble with their favourite bath toys in the pool. This will help the baby realize they are in a safe and secure environment so they do not panic because of the new environment.
Perhaps the most important thing a parent can do to teach their babies to swim is to stay calm. The baby will be able to see the parents' confidence level and if mom and dad are nervous, the baby will be nervous too.
