Biological Filter Media: This media type is one of the natural methods that provide a surface on which beneficial bacteria grow and filter your tank water. Making a healthy surface for the bacteria is an important task so that the nitrogen cycle is maintained and keeps your water clean and clear.
Mechanical Filter Media: This media is used to physically remove solid waste particles from the aquarium. These particles include fish feces, dust, organic debris, uneaten fish food, etc. This media type is easy to use and very durable.
Chemical Filter Media: This type uses various methods to remove dirt particles and keep your water clear. One of the widely used methods is the use of activated charcoal. The charcoal removes unnecessary waste from the water which helps make your aquarium healthy.
